The public purchasing platform managed by Chilecompra: www.mercadopublico.cl is the largest e-commerce transactional site in Chile. There, public services make their purchases through almost 2 million purchase orders a year, for more than 16 billion dollars, allowing business opportunities for more than 120 thousand suppliers. So our service is critical for the functioning of the State of Chile.

Currently, we are promoting a modernization strategy to generate greater efficiency in purchases and public spending, through the renewal of platforms and services such as the framework agreement store in Magento and new systems that facilitate decision making, monitoring and evaluation of purchasing processes. This transformation includes the move from a traditional architecture based on a physical data center and monolithic systems, towards a multi-cloud software architecture, with both physical and cloud backups.

Professional title obtained from a career of at least 8 semesters in the field of Industrial Civil Engineering, Commercial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Physical Engineering or related career, from an institution recognized by the State of Chile.

Desirable:
Specialization in: programming, data engineering, applied statistics, machine learning, business intelligence, data science.

• Minimum work experience required:

At least 1 year of experience in data analysis, storage, processing and data cleaning.

• Desirable work experience:

- Experience in economic or social studies.
- Experience in database and/or datawarehouse administration.

The role focuses onanalyzing, processing and interpreting data from the Public Procurement System, generating information, indicators, reports and analyzes that provide strategic, timely and reliable information for decision-making at an institutional level and for meeting the requirements of external organizations. To do this, you must:

1. Analyze and process data from the Public Procurement System and other relevant sources of information.
   1. Extract, integrate and process information from different internal and external data sources.
   2. Carry out data cleaning, transformation, standardization and validation processes for analytical use.
2. Design and develop indicators, analysis and information products that contribute to the knowledge and monitoring of the Public Procurement System.
   1. Support the technical design of measurements, indicators and information requirements based on the Datawarehouse.
3. Ensure the quality, integrity and reliability of the data used in analyzes and information products.
   1. Apply quality criteria and controls on the databases used (validations, business rules and consistency).
   2. Detect inconsistencies, atypical values ​​and information quality problems, proposing actions for their treatment.
4. Advise and support the different areas of the institution in the analysis, interpretation and use of data for decision making.
5. Address specific information requirements from internal areas and external organizations, safeguarding quality, traceability and technical support.
6. Develop automations for the generation of reports and indicators, improving efficiency
