We are looking for an engineer for a large technical company in Merelbeke. You will participate in automation projects within the Research & Development department. Do you have knowledge of PLC, SCADA and Python?

What are your tasks?

• As an R&D automation engineer, you contribute independently or in a team to internal development and standardization. From programming to transfer to the project team with the necessary aftercare and documentation.
• You consult with the team about the specifications and design.
• Based on the application, you take care of the programming of PLC, HMI and/or SCADA.
• You work as an internal developer on the standard logic intended for 1 of our following industrial domains: Process, discrete/motion, robotics/AMR, custom machine construction.
• Depending on competence and commitment, you can grow into a senior position within the same domain where you coordinate and manage fellow engineers.
• Works from our office in Merelbeke

Which profile are we looking for?

• Master or bachelor's degree with preference in Industrial Sciences Automation, Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics ica.
• 3-5 years of software experience, PLC and SCADA
• Experience with Siemens S7, TIA, WinCC, Inition is a plus. Experience with other programming languages is a plus. such as Python, C#, SQL.
• Adept and proactive
• An eye for detail, a thoughtful thinker who leaves nothing to chance, investigates and asks critical questions. When necessary I work pragmatically without losing sight of quality.
• Having graphic insight is a plus.
• You can express yourself fluently in Dutch. You understand and speak English and you can get by in French.
• You are in possession of a driving license B
