Description: POSITION OVERVIEW Data Engineer, Flask Developer Salary: $98,717 – $130,000 annually ABOUT THIS ROLE This role supports a centralized data environment used across DoD programs. You build Flask and Python services, data ingest pipelines, and SQL-backed capabilities supporting auditable financial transaction data and a common operating picture for leadership. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Research, design, develop, and modify enterprise systems and application software Support planning and deployment of system development releases Meet software compliance standards and document testing and maintenance fixes Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Flask and related extensions Build and extend Python business logic from technical specifications and user stories Develop or support Python scripts for data ingest pipelines Work with relational databases and SQL-based environments Use Agile development processes Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning Align development work to established business needs and policies Perform additional duties as assigned REQUIRED SKILLS Python Flask, Flask RESTful, Flask RESTX RESTful API development SQL and relational databases Agile delivery Code reviews and clean architecture practices EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree with 5 years relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years relevant experience, or PhD or Juris Doctorate with 0 years experience, or High School Diploma or equivalent with 9 years relevant experience Hands-on experience building applications using Flask Ability to work independently and within a team Self-starter who takes initiative CLEARANCE & LOCATION Clearance: Secret Travel: 0–10 percent Employment: Full Time, Salaried, Exempt U.S. Citizenship Required
