Looking for 1 Cloud Engineer
- 3+ years of experience working in Data Engineering or similar positions.
- Advanced SQL.
- Solid experience with Python for data processing and automation.
- Experience working with Google BigQuery.
- Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse design.
- Experience integrating APIs, databases and files as sources
- Ability to investigate data inconsistencies without assuming that a source is correct just because it is in production.
At Guinea Mobile we build the technological platform that supports multiple mobile operators and brands on the same infrastructure.
Our ecosystem processes information on activations, subscribers, plans, recharges, billing and consumption of data, voice and SMS. We work with different sources and platforms – including our BSS/OCS, internal systems, telco providers and external services – and we centralize much of this information in Google Cloud and BigQuery.
We are strengthening our data platform so that the information used by Technology, Finance, Operations and Business is consistent, traceable and reliable.
We are looking for a Data Engineer to help us build that foundation and who can take technical responsibility for the pipelines that convert operational and telco data into information usable for reporting, reconciliations and analytics.
What will you do
Your main responsibility will be to design, develop and maintain Guinea's data pipelines.
You will work with sources such as APIs, PostgreSQL, CSV/JSON files, SFTP, Cloud Storage and events generated by our systems and telco platforms.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines on Google Cloud.
- Design and maintain data models in Bigquery
- Detect differences between sources and help determine which correctly represents the reality of the business.
- Automate reconciliations between operational bases, BigQuery and external reports.
- Maintain traceability from the original data to the final reports and metrics.
- Design datasets that can be easily consumed by BI, Finance, Operations and Product.
- Optimize queries, storage and costs of BigQuery.
- Monitor pipelines and generate alerts for incomplete data, duplicates or failed processes.
- Document sources, transformations, dependencies and business definitions.
- Work alongside the Technology team on Git, code review and CI/CD.
