You are an experienced Data Scientist and would like to work on issues that combine statistical analysis, massive data processing and industrialization?
We are looking for a Data Scientist capable of intervening from end to end: from understanding the business need to putting data processing into production, with a particular challenge around Python and PySpark.
Your role
You will work directly with business experts to understand their issues, identify relevant data and build processing to respond to them.
Concretely, you will be required to:
- participate in workshops with business experts to collect and specify their needs
- search for relevant data and carry out exploratory analyses
- design and develop data processing
- conduct statistical studies
- develop, when necessary, Machine Learning models
- render your analyzes in the form of study reports or dashboards
- port experiment or study codes to PySpark in order to enable their industrialization.
You will also contribute to monitoring Data Science methods and tools, as well as sharing best practices.
A role that does not stop at modeling
The position includes an important dimension of framing and industrialization.
You will be able to intervene directly with the business lines, without systematic participation of a Product Owner or a Product Manager. You will therefore need to be comfortable gathering a need, leading workshops and translating the problems encountered into data solutions.
You will also participate in the drafting of framing documents and will be able to propose processing architectures and data models intended for production.
Technical environment
You will mainly work with: Python - PySpark - Hadoop - PostgreSQL - Power BI - GitLab - GitLab CI/CD - Jira - Confluence
On the Python side, the environment includes: Pandas - Polars - Scikit-learn -Matplotlib - XGBoost - Pandera - GeoPandas
The essential skills for this mission
Three criteria are particularly important:
1. Proven experience in Data Science
You have more than 5 years of experience in Data Science and have already worked on several dimensions of the profession: collection of needs, statistical analysis, Machine Learning and processing of massive data that can represent several tens of millions of lines.
2. Python expertise
You master Python and its main Data Science libraries. Concrete experience with GeoPandas and heavy spatial processing, covering several tens of millions of geometries, is a plus.
You have also already developed processing with PySpark.
3. Experience in industrialization
You have already industrialized heavy Data Science processing and are able to contribute to architectural choices regarding processing and data models.
This experience must concern at least one of the following types of data: spatial, textual data, time series or graphs.
Which will also be appreciated
Experience on one or more of these subjects will be a plus:
- Machine Learning modeling applied to time series
- data modeled in the form of graphs
- MLOps
- knowledge of the energy sector.
You are also comfortable presenting your analyzes in an educational way, notably through Power BI dashboards, and to lead working groups around organizations and business processes.
If you are ready to take on this challenge and contribute to stimulating projects, do not hesitate to
