Description: As an organizer of recruitment forums, Talents Handicap supports a large number of companies & organizations in France in their recruitment of employees with disabilities. Currently participating in one of our forums. The EDF company is currently looking for profiles: Development of a high frequency finite element model for electric motors Subject of the internship Contextbr>The ERMES (Electrotechnics and Structural Mechanics) department at EDF R&D at the EDF Lab Paris-Saclay site in Palaiseau offers an internship subject in the field of electrical engineering and more particularly in the modeling of asynchronous electric motors. Electric motors are used everywhere in electricity production plants to carry out tasks such as pumping, ventilation, compression. The course is part of maintaining the lifespan of motors and optimizing their operation with power converters. EDF R&D has developed an electromagnetic finite element modeling method for motors using FEMM1 software using Python scripts. The objective of the internship is to improve the precision of this model for the high frequency part and to accelerate the calculations by testing a new methodology. The modeling results will subsequently be processed and formatted for circuit modeling of the system with EMTP2 software. Objectivesbr>The objective of the internship is to: Develop an accurate and fast high-frequency model for electric motors. Automate modeling to accommodate different engine designs. Process the results of finite element modeling to create a circuit model of the system. Work expected during the internshipbr>Analysis and understanding of Python scripts for electromagnetic finite element modeling of the motor in FEMM. Development of a high frequency finite element model on FEMM with python scripts. Construction of a model in EMTP with the results of FEMM and post-processing of the simulations.
