Job description

We are looking for a Python backend developer in Nantes for our client in Nantes.

You will join a team made up of two people: a DevSecOps engineer and you as a Python backend developer.

Missions

• Treatment of application incidents on the Python backend and the frontend, diagnosis and correction, in conjunction with the engineer DevSecOps (which ensures the coordination of major incidents).
• Development of developments requested by the client, adaptation of the code to the target architecture (CaaS / DBaaS): configuration, management of secrets, connections to managed services.
• Maintenance of the NUXT / VueJS / TypeScript frontend of the service.
• Monitoring of the database, optimization of requests, backups, preparation for the upcoming version upgrade of DBaaS, in PostgreSQL.
• Evolution of MinIO and TUSD flows, processing of large files, improvement of processing of compressed files by the antivirus
• Unit and integration tests (pytest on the Python side, Vitest on the frontend side), SonarQube analysis, cross-code reviews with the DevSecOps engineer, OpenAPI documentation and application changelog.
• Requirement gathering, specification developments, exchanges with the product team during the weekly synchronization point.
• Cross-versatility with DevSecOps to be able to maintain most of the scope during their absences, documentation of their work.

Qualifications

Bac+2 to Bac+5 training, you have at least 5 years of experience in this field.

The skills required are :

• Python (recent version 3) for backend development: REST API, layered architecture (Flask, FastAPI or Django)
• PostgreSQL: modeling, queries, optimization, operating concepts
• Automated tests: pytest or equivalent, integration tests
• Git, code review practices, continuous integration
• Docker; notions of Kubernetes appreciated for deployment
• Frontend development: VueJS or Nuxt with TypeScript at the sufficient level to maintain the existing system
• Ticket management and level 3 application support

The skills appreciated are:

• S3 / MinIO object storage; uploading large files (TUSD protocol)
• SonarQube, dependency analysis, application security (OWASP)
• Vitest, Playwright for frontend testing
• Experience in TMA on a service in production and in a large account environment
• Agile SCRUM methods

Expected skills and qualities:

• Autonomy: position in pairs, without a team
• Rigorous and careful with documentation
• Ability to communicate with the client's business and technical contacts
• Responsiveness and composure in the event of an incident in production

Conditions

• Service range: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. No on-call expected.
• Position shared with a pair (DevSecOps engineer): staggered leave and cross-functionality expected
