Description: DevOps Engineer - Jobs Ref: #73633 DevOps Engineer Senior DevOps / Python Engineer - Quantum Networking Project Hybrid Netherlands • Dutch-speaking • Open-Source • Python + DevOps + Networking + Security About the Assignment For an innovative quantum networking project, we are looking for a Senior DevOps / Python Engineer who plays a key role in the development, improvement and operationalization of open-source Key Management and networking services within a secure, national research environment. You work on software that is used by multiple organizations and contribute to a growing open source community. You are the technical owner of the codebase and ensure that it remains reliable, secure and future-proof. Core Responsibilities - Develop, improve and maintain Python-based networking and security services. - Improve configuration, packaging, deployment and documentation for broader adoption. - Set up, manage and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automation. - Automating infrastructure with Ansible and containerization (Docker; Kubernetes is an advantage). - Implementing and maintaining the software within a secure, distributed network. - Debugging distributed systems, network communications and secure connections (mTLS, certificates). - Ensuring security best practices, dependency security and supply chain security. - Reviewing community contributions and monitoring code quality. - Collaborate with internal teams, researchers and technical stakeholders. ⭐ Ideal Candidate Profile 1.
