You will be part of the Architecture Management, collaborating in the definition of the business architecture and its evolution in the face of technological and business changes, ensuring alignment with the corporate strategy and governance standards.
- Experience in data engineering and development of solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency in BigQuery, including design, construction, optimization and consultation on MPP (Massively Parallel Processing) architectures.
- Experience with Google Cloud Pub/Sub and Dataflow, for processing events and data flows in real time.
- Experience in design, construction and maintenance of pipelines. ETL/ELT.
- Knowledge in designing and optimizing data models for Data Warehouse and Data Lake.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, including development of complex scripts and query optimization.
- Knowledge of distributed data processing using tools such as Apache Spark.
- Experience using Terraform for the implementation and management of infrastructure as code (IaC) in GCP.
- Experience in orchestration of processes and workflows using Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow).
- Advanced management of Git and GitHub, applying good version control practices.
- Knowledge and experience in CI/CD methodologies for automation and implementation of data solutions.
- Knowledge of governance, quality, security, traceability and data lineage.
- Experience in monitoring, observability and alert management of data processes.
At BC Tecnología we are looking for a Data Engineer (Data Engineer GCP) to join an important technological project, participating in the design, construction and optimization of data architectures and integration processes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
We are looking for professionals with solid knowledge in data engineering, processing of large volumes of information, development of ETL/ELT pipelines and scalable architectures in the cloud.
Objective of the position
Design, build and optimize data architectures and integration flows (ETL/ELT) on the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem, implementing scalable engineering solutions and efficient data models that guarantee the availability, quality and governance of information.
The objective is to facilitate strategic decision making and the development of advanced analytics solutions within the organization.
Main functions and responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement data integrations for the construction and administration of a Data Lake on Google Cloud Platform.
- Manage and process large volumes of data using BigQuery, ensuring availability, performance and efficiency in queries.
- Develop and manage event processing flows in real time and near real time using Pub/Sub and Dataflow.
- Design, develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation and loading processes using techniques ETL/ELT.
- Implement and optimize data models in Data Warehouse environments, facilitating queries and self-service analytics.
- Collaborate with Data Governance teams in the definition of data catalogs, information lineage, traceability and compliance with security standards.
- Automate the monitoring and generation of alerts of data pipelines through Data Observability practices.
- Timely identify errors and failures in integration processes, ensuring operational continuity.
- Implement distributed data processing solutions.
- Participate in the automation, orchestration and deployment of data engineering solutions in Google Cloud.
