We are looking for a new Usercoder and this could be you!
Usercode is a technology company focused on the development of custom software for public and private institutions. Although as a general rule we operate remotely, depending on the client's needs and the characteristics of each project, in-person activities may be required, such as meetings, validation milestones, product deliveries or other instances. In these cases, the collaborator must be available to attend in person when requested. It is not possible to telework from outside Chile due to security rules of our clients.
We work remotely, our team is in different regions of Chile. To communicate and work we use Slack, Meet Hangout and Monday.
Intermediate level. Minimum 2 years implementing real solutions.
Exclusive:
- Professional or technical degree in IT, computing or related, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years building solutions that someone uses today.
- Portfolio or specific cases requested.
- Experience implementing with LLMs via API (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI or similar): prompts structured outputs and agents with tools.
- Python or Node.js with ease in consuming and building REST APIs, and data management (SQL, spreadsheets, Excel/CSV at scale).
- Experience with at least one flow orchestration tool (n8n, Make, Power Automate or similar) integrating a client's systems.
- Ability to converse with non-technical people, ask questions, understand a process and explain a solution in simple language.
- We put it as exclusive on purpose.
- In-person availability in Santiago 3 days a week.

- Curious, eager to get into the problem. It is convenient for you to go to a place, ask and observe.
- Prefers to show something working rather than explaining why it couldn't.
- Knows how to say "this doesn't need AI" when it doesn't.
- Structured, to maintain a weekly rhythm.
What this position is not:
You are not a remote developer who receives tickets: field surveys are part of the job. It is not a consultant who delivers documents: working software is delivered. It is not a senior profile that does everything alone: there is business and technical direction every week, and that is part of the design. It is not a cloud infrastructure charge: no AWS or platform architecture is required.

Functions of the position
We are looking for an AI Field Engineer: a profile that converts real problems in the operation of a client company into AI solutions that work on a daily basis. Not from an office: from the place where the problem occurs, talking to those who experience it and building quickly to test. The modality is 3+2 hybrid: three days a week in person at the client (Santiago, central office and premises) lifting and validating, and two days of development. The position reports to the technical management and business management where the approach to each case is decided together.
Your main functions will be:
Set up in the client company and assess on the ground how the processes that you want to improve work today: who does them, with what data, where they get stuck and how much time is wasted. Bring this survey to the weekly review with the management team, where it is defined whether the case is resolved with the tools that the client already has (Copilot, Power Automate, connected spreadsheets) or if it requires development. Build the solution: agents with LLM (OpenAI API, Anthropic, Copilot Studio), automations (n8n, Make, Power Automate), integrations with client systems (mail, ERP, Buk, databases) and, where applicable, RAG on internal documentation. Test it with real users, adjust and leave it running in production. Measure the before and after (hours, errors, deadlines) and document each case. Train an internal owner so that the solution can sustain itself without you. Maintain the pace of the service: a monthly objective, a weekly focus and a visible delivery, with a short demo to users at the end of each week.
