Want to write code that matters? 

We are looking for two curious junior developers who want to help build digital services that actually mean something to people. 
Are you a recent graduate? Then we encourage you to apply. You don't need to know everything from day one, the most important thing is that you like to solve problems, want to learn and want to use technology to make things better. 

Who will you work with? 
The position is in the Digital transformation section, where around 40 employees work in digitalisation, IT, information management and procurement. 
You will be part of the digitization department and will work closely with, among other things, developers, architects, IT resources, data resources and employees in the municipality's services. 
Since we are building up the developer environment now, you also get the opportunity to influence how we will work with, among other things, development methodology, code quality, Git, testing, documentation and AI tools. 

Tasks

The technology we use:

• We work with a modern and varied technology stack. 
  Among the technologies you will encounter are:
• Python, Microsoft Azure, SQL and SQL Server
• REST APIs and webhooks
• Azure Functions
• Azure Logic Apps
• API Management
• Git and GitHub
• We also use AI-assisted development tools as a natural part of the development process. 

You don't need to know the whole stack when you start. We expect you to learn a lot along the way, and you will receive training and support from your colleagues. 

You will, among other things:

• develop and maintain digital services and solutions
• contribute to the technical design and implementation of new solutions
• develop and manage APIs and integrations
• write and maintain automated tests
• debug and improve existing solutions
• contribute to the entire development process from idea and prototype to production
• use AI tools as support in the development work
• contribute to continuous improvement of code bases and work processes
• document solutions and technical choices

Qualifications

We are looking for you who;

• have a relevant higher education in computer science, computer engineering, system development or equivalent. Relevant experience can compensate for the education requirement
• have written code on your own and can show at least one project from studies, work or free time
• have a basic understanding of how modern applications and APIs work
• like to solve problems and want to develop as a developer
• communicates well in writing and orally in Norwegian
• Do you have a GitHub profile, a student project, an app, a hobby project or something else you have created and is proud of, we would very much like to see it. 
  

We are more concerned with how you think, learn and solve problems than with how many technologies you already know. We are looking for you who want to become really good - with us.

About the position:

In Lørenskog municipality we use many good standard systems. At the same time, we see more and more needs that cannot be solved well enough with off-the-shelf products alone. 

Sometimes we need an integration between two systems. Other times we need to automate a work process, retrieve data in a smarter way or create a small application that solves a concrete problem for employees or residents. 

At the same time, the development tools have changed significantly in recent years. Modern cloud technology, open frameworks and AI-assisted development make it possible to develop and manage software far more efficiently than before. 

That is why we are now establishing an internal developer environment in Lørenskog municipality. 

We don't want to build everything ourselves. But we want to be able to build the solutions that provide great value for the municipality, and which the supplier market cannot necessarily deliver. 

And this is where you come in.
As a developer with us, you will work with real needs from the entire municipality, such as:

further development around our new cloud-based ERP system
automation and improvement of case and work processes
integrations between different professional systems
development of smaller internal applications and services
APIs and event-based integrations
retrieval and processing of data to the municipality's analysis environment
use of artificial intelligence and language models in new solutions
prototypes and testing of new technologies
You will be able to follow solutions all the way from a need arises until something is actually put into production and is used.
