Every day at Zonneplan we shift hundreds of MWh of sustainable energy from moments of oversupply to moments of shortage. As a Lead Data Scientist, you determine how we do this even smarter. You help build prediction and optimization models for energy trading and asset management, ensure that they run reliably in production and coach a team of data scientists.
You work in the Trading & Optimization team with responsibility and freedom to lead projects, in close collaboration with software engineering, data engineering and trading. This position is for 40 hours per week and offers a salary of €5,000 - €7,000 gross per month. Your impact at Zonneplan - You build and improve the models that drive our energy trading. You spend 40 to 60 percent of your time working hands-on on forecasting and optimization models. You write production-ready Python code, do code reviews and ensure that experiments go to production quickly and stably. - You anchor the data science lifecycle within the team. You set up a workable MLOps working method, monitor model drift and performance and make adjustments where necessary. - You grow the team of data scientists. You coach, guide and assess the team through 1-on-1s, development plans and performance reviews. - You translate business questions into realistic processes. You work together with the Product Lead T&O and business stakeholders to keep scope, priority and expectations clear.
