Want to work with AI in one of the Nordics' largest media groups? Amedia is in the middle of an exciting phase, where we will explore how AI can be used to make our products and services even better. On this occasion, we are looking for our next AI Engineer.

Amedia is the country's largest publisher of editor-managed media and one of the Nordic region's leading media groups with 111 newspapers and media companies in Norway and Denmark.

As our next AI Engineer, you will have a central role in exploring, developing and realizing new opportunities within AI and ML. You will work with the full breadth of AI technology, from classic machine learning to generative AI, large language models (LLMs) and agent-based systems.

A concrete and central project that you will quickly want to take part in is linked to our subscription solutions. Here you will, among other things, help develop dynamic access control, where AI helps us decide who gets access to which content.

We work primarily in Python and on the Google Cloud Platform, and have a clear principle of adopting and further developing the best that already exists, rather than building everything from scratch.

Job tasks:

• Develop, put into production and further develop AI and ML solutions that create value for Amedia's products and services.

• Build and integrate solutions based on machine learning, LLMs and external AI services.

• Share knowledge and help ensure that we stay up-to-date on the latest developments in AI.

• Be responsible for operation, monitoring and further development of models and AI services through good MLOps principles.

• Work closely with product teams, developers and data scientists to understand needs and translate these into robust technical solutions.

• Contribute to the development and management of common AI services and platform components that can be used across the organization.

• Evaluate new technology and contribute to good technology choices within AI and machine learning.

• Optimizes performance, cost and security of our solutions, including cost and latency considerations when using large language models.

We are looking for you who have:

• Experience with software development for computer products and machine learning in Python.

• Software engineer qualifications, with +3 years of experience from development/operations, DevOps/MLOps, CI/CD.

• Experience with technology for data processing.

• Good overview of an ever-changing AI landscape, including developments in LLMs and agent-based systems.

• Experience building solutions with LLMs: prompt design/evaluation, RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), vector databases, agent frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar) and fine-tuning/adaptation of models.

• Experience with Kubeflow and PyTorch.

• Experience with Google Cloud products such as BigQuery, Cloud Run, Vertex AI (or equivalent from other vendors), as well as LLM platforms such as Anthropic/OpenAI APIs.

• Other tools/computer languages that may be relevant, but not required: Go, Node.js, SQL.
