Description: From smart AI models to solutions that really work. Building an AI model is one thing. Ensuring that it runs reliably, is linked to real data and adds value to a customer: that's where it gets interesting. At adesso you work on AI solutions that go beyond experiments, from machine learning and MLOps to generative AI, LLMs and agents. You build, implement and improve solutions that organizations actually use. What will you do? As a Medior AI Engineer you will work together with senior AI Engineers and Forward Deployed Engineers on customer projects. You independently pick up parts and grow in architecture and end-to-end responsibility. Develop AI: you build ML models, LLM applications and agentic workflows. From idea to production: you build data and ML pipelines, automates deployments and ensures monitoring and reliability. Smart integration: you link AI to existing systems, APIs and cloud and data platforms. Thinking along with the customer: you translate issues into practical, scalable solutions. Share knowledge: you record reusable patterns and share what you learn with your colleagues. Projects that go beyond the model We focus on retail and e-commerce, finance and utilities. Consider: Forecasts that planners dare to manage, from retail assortment to grid load. Intelligent document processing, such as KYC files or inspection reports, with traceable sources. Agents who prepare work in customer service and back office, with evals and guardrails. Computer vision, such as in the fitness industry, where we recognize unsafe situations in unmanned 24/7 locations. The challenge is not only in the model, but also in reliability, integration and operation in practice. You always choose the technology that suits the problem. What do you bring? Experience in developing and putting ML or GenAI solutions into production. Good knowledge of Python, SQL and machine learning. Experience with MLOps and/or LLMs, RAG and AI agents. Knowledge of at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP) and a data platform such as Databricks, Snowflake or Fabric. You work with coding agents and critically assess what they deliver. You think based on customer demand and explain technical choices clearly out. You speak and write Dutch and English fluently. What this is not No individual secondment. You work on projects on behalf of adesso, with a team behind you. No notebook graveyard. No GenAI because it is possible. Sometimes a classic model is better, sometimes an LLM; you choose what suits you. No work on demand. You think along from the customer's request, not only once the design has already been determined. It team You will become part of our AI Engineering team: AI engineering consultants in two roles. The Forward Deployed AI Engineer (FDE) owns the customer problem and designs the solution, including the agentic architecture. As an AI Engineer, you delve deeply into construction, data, MLOps and scale, and think about the right approach based on customer questions. You are given the space to shape your own work, but you are never solely responsible for all specialties.
