Are you fascinated by data, statistics and methodology? Do you get energy from converting complex data into reliable insights? Then you might be the colleague that the Flemish Statistical Authority (VSA) of the Department of Chancellery & Foreign Affairs is looking for.

As a data and statistics methodologist, you are a key figure behind the quality of Flemish public statistics. You advise colleagues on the statistically-methodologically correct development and production of Flemish public statistics and innovative data analyses. You provide guidelines and manuals for colleagues, general training, individual support and advice and, together with them, you look for feasible answers to statistical-methodological questions and challenges. You also support colleagues in the use of R and Python for more complex statistical and analysis activities.

Your work makes a difference: thanks to your knowledge, policymakers, researchers and citizens have reliable statistics that contribute to strong social choices. In this way you combine substantive depth with a visible impact on Flanders.

1. You have a master's degree in statistics or a master's degree with a solid statistical-methodological component in the training.
2. You have at least 2 years of job-relevant experience in independently carrying out statistical-methodological analyses, whereby you also actively collaborated with colleagues in a team or within joint research projects.
