Description: We are seeking a Python Data Engineer for a 12-month contract position based in McLean, Virginia. In this role, you will develop and maintain data pipelines and solutions using Python and AWS technologies, working independently while communicating effectively with stakeholders and escalating risks as needed. Responsibilities • Design and develop data pipelines and ETL processes using Python and AWS Glue • Work independently on assigned data engineering tasks and deliverables • Communicate status, progress, and technical findings clearly to team members and stakeholders • Identify and escalate technical risks and blockers in a timely manner • Maintain and optimize data processing workflows Qualifications • Required • Strong proficiency in Python • Hands-on experience with AWS Glue • Strong communication skills • Ability to work independently and self-manage • Ability to identify and escalate risks appropriately • Preferred • Experience with PySpark • Experience with AsyncIO • Experience with Snowflake
