Description: Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Yadda is building BlancVPN, a privacy-focused VPN product trusted by hundreds of thousands of users. The Senior Backend Developer will build and own reliable backend services using Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, and ClickHouse, including APIs, billing, data models, migrations, analytics, and internal tools. The role also involves improving observability, operational reliability, and cross-functional feature delivery. Responsibilities • Build and maintain backend services, reliable product APIs, billing, back-office scenarios and internal admin tools • Design PostgreSQL schemas, manage migrations, keep data consistent and optimize heavy queries • Use Redis for caching, task coordination, rate limits and operational state; build reporting and event-processing flows on ClickHouse • Carefully run migrations and schema changes across Django and Alembic services; improve monitoring, logging, alerts and debugging • Work closely with product, frontend, infrastructure and support teams for safe, predictable feature releases Skills • - Fluent Russian and English (B2+) - Strong commercial experience with Python 3 -Hands-on Django and a deep understanding of its ecosystem - Confident PostgreSQL: schema design, indexes, migrations and query optimization - Redis for caching, queues, locks and high-load product scenarios - Confident migration management via both Django migrations and Alembic -Designing APIs, background tasks and internal admin tools - Understanding of observability: logs, monitoring and incident investigation - Experience with Docker, CI/CD and production deployment - Attention to testing and a drive to make critical system paths predictable • - Ability to write Go (or at least confidently read it) - Basic understanding of the network stack: how a system decides which interface to send data through - Experience turning complex legacy into an architecturally mature solution Benefits • Work from anywhere — fully remote (except Russia, Belarus, China, Syria, Iran, Yemen, North Korea, and some other regions). • Flexible 5-day week — start when it suits you; loosely aligned to CET. • Full home-office setup — all the equipment you need, on us. • 40 flexible paid days off + paid sick leave. • VHI, wellness, language courses, mental health support and a referral program. • Annual development budget. • In-person team meet-ups.
