What you are working on

You work on AI functionalities that convert images from the real world into reliable and useful information.

The challenge is not only in training or integrating models, but especially in building computer vision systems that work robustly outside a controlled environment. You combine modern AI with classic computer vision and work on technical issues surrounding image interpretation, spatial information, accuracy and reliability.

You will have a lot of freedom to make technical choices, test hypotheses and bring solutions from prototype to production.

Qualifications sought

We are looking for a strong technical profile with experience in one or more of the domains below. So you don't necessarily have to cover every field.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Python and modern machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch
• Strong working knowledge of computer vision and image processing
• Experience with deep learning models for visual applications
• Good knowledge of classical computer vision techniques and/or camera geometry
• Experience with one or more domains such as segmentation, object detection, image matching, 3D vision, depth estimation, tracking and/or image registration
• Experience with spatial computing, AR, SLAM and/or photogrammetry is a strong plus
• Experience with sensor and camera data is a plus
• You can objectively evaluate models and algorithms, analyze errors and systematically improve them
• You are comfortable with imperfect real-world data and technical problems for which there is no ready-made solution
• Experience in bringing computer vision models to production is a plus

Additional assets

• Experience with applied AI within a real-world product environment
• Experience in setting up, improving and evaluating data sets for computer vision
• Experience translating research and prototypes into robust product functionality

Background

A master's or PhD in computer vision, artificial intelligence, robotics or a related technical field is a strong plus, but relevant practical experience can be just as valuable.
