Description: We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to be part of a team that develops Generative and Agentic Artificial Intelligence solutions for the banking sector.
The position will have end-to-end participation in the development of AI solutions, from understanding business needs and technical design, to their integration, evaluation, deployment and monitoring in production.
You will work collaboratively with teams of Product, Data, Cloud, Architecture, Security, SRE and Business, developing solutions based on LLMs, RAG and AI agents, under engineering, security and architecture standards.
Requirements
Functions:
- Design and develop Generative and Agentic AI solutions using LLMs, RAG and agents of AI.
- Translate business requirements into technical Artificial Intelligence solutions.
- Develop and integrate AI solutions with APIs, microservices, data sources and business systems.
- Develop backend and full stack applications incorporating Artificial Intelligence components.
- Select and use appropriate frameworks and patterns for the construction of AI solutions.
- Design and optimize inference pipelines considering latency, costs, scalability and reliability.
- Participate in the deployment of AI solutions in production through strategies such as Canary, A/B, Shadow Mode and rollback.
- Implement logging, traceability, observability and monitoring mechanisms of AI solutions.
- Design and execute tests to evaluate the quality and performance of the solutions before their adoption.
- Implement guardrails and security controls to mitigate risks associated with the use of AI.
- Apply practices of Secure by Design, IAM, least privilege and protection against prompt injection and data leakage.
- Monitor metrics related to hallucinations, biases, fairness and quality of solutions in production.
- Work collaboratively with Data, Cloud, Security, Architecture, SRE, Product and Business teams.
- Propose improvements and promote the reuse of components and good engineering practices for AI solutions.
- Follow up on solutions from end to end, from design to operation in production.
Technical requirements
- Professional in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Scienceor related careers.
- Senior experience in software development and practical experience developing AI/ML or Generative AI solutions.
- Experience developing solutions with LLMs, RAGs and/or AI agents.
- Proficiency in Python LangChain, Hugging Face, PyTorch or other equivalents.
- Knowledge of Cloud, CI/CD, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of MLOps / LLMOps, observability and monitoring.
- Knowledge of security applied to AI, including IAM, Secure by Design, prompt injection and protection data.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Technical English for reading documentation and using technological tools.
Desirable:
- Experience bringing Generative AI solutions to production and at scale.
- Experience in the banking, financial or regulated environments.
- Experience with LLMs evaluation, Shadow Mode, quality metrics, hallucinations, biases and fairness.
- Knowledge of AI solutions architecture.
- Postgraduate or certifications in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Cloud or Architecture.
