Description: We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer who is passionate about designing scalable systems, robust API architecture and improving cloud infrastructure. This is a key technical role for someone who doesn't just execute tasks, but thinks systemically, i.e. able to identify the best solutions in terms of performance, reliability and scalability.
Main missions
Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services with NestJS and TypeScript
Design and optimize databases, schemas and queries PostgreSQL/Supabase
Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure with Terraform on GCP/AWS
Set up and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment flows and observability
Create and manage Cloud Functions for new features and automation
Debug, monitor and improve system performance and reliability
Ensure backend security, data integrity and compliance with best practices compliance
Collaborate cross-functionally with the product, mobile and data teams
Perform code reviews, enforce technical standards, and support other engineers
Expected skills and qualities
Essential
8 years and more of experience in backend development with JavaScript/TypeScript
5 years and more with NodeJS
5 years and more with NestJS (skill essential)
3+ years of experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure
2+ years with PostgreSQL/Supabase
2+ years with Terraform (infrastructure as code)
Hands-on experience with Firestore/Firebase
Strong understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and DevOps practices
Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and system design skills
Rigor, autonomy and sense of responsibility, with the ability to see the system as a whole and not just its own part
Experience working in an international environment
Experience working remotely (teleworking)
Fluent English, working language of the technical team
A plus
Experience with React Native
Experience with NextJS
Experience with Python/Flask
Experience with event-driven architectures or real time
Experience with LLM / RAG APIs
Spoken Spanish, useful for collaborating with some of our Spanish-speaking teams
