For our AI & Software Engineering team, we are looking for an experienced personality who will design, build and take technical responsibility for central data platforms in Microsoft Azure for our customers - from connecting the source systems to the finished dashboard. Typical areas of application include customers from logistics, finance and industry, such as merging company and machine data on a common platform. As you gain experience, you will develop your professional career to become a Principal Architect Data & Cloud.

These are your tasks

• You will design central data platforms in Microsoft Azure, build them and further develop them - with technical responsibility towards the customer, independently or as a senior in the project team.

• You will connect company systems and machine data via interfaces and model the data in such a way that it is suitable for AI applications, evaluations and dashboards are available.

• You build the cloud infrastructure for our customers with Infrastructure as Code and automate provision and operation via CI/CD.

• You implement security, authorizations and client separation so that each user group sees exactly the data that they are allowed to see.

• You are involved in pre-sales, build knowledge in the team and further develop our data and cloud offering.

This is what you bring with you

• Several years of experience as a data engineer in the cloud (ideally 4+ years), ideally in Microsoft Azure, with very good knowledge of SQL and Python

• Experience with data integration via interfaces as well as with data modeling and reporting, ideally with Power BI

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD as well as good knowledge of cloud security and authorization concepts, ideally with Entra ID

• Business fluent German and English (C1) for working with our customers

• The desire to develop further in your professional career to become a Principal Architect Data & Cloud

That's a plus

Not a must, but a plus - if you meet the criteria above, we'll be happy looking forward to your application:

• Practice with Microsoft Fabric - alternatively with Azure Synapse or Databricks and the willingness to switch to Fabric

• Basics in machine learning

• Experience with machine and IoT data, e.g. via OPC UA, MQTT or Azure IoT Hub

• Industry knowledge in logistics, finance or Industry

• Salary and pension provision: Target salary of €70,000-100,000 gross per year depending on experience, including variable remuneration based on project and company success, plus company pension scheme with employer subsidy
