Do you want to actively shape the development of innovative AI solutions? As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will advise on the development of a modern GenAI platform and contribute your technical expertise to its conception and implementation. In an interdisciplinary DevOps team made up of data scientists, business engineers and DevOps engineers, you will jointly develop future-oriented solutions and drive the development of the platform.

Main tasks:

Configuration and management of Azure cloud resources in particular API Management, Foundry, OpenAI, AI Search, Document Intelligence as well as Kubernetes-based applications such as Langfuse as "Infrastructure-as-Code" with Terraform, HelmChart and Gitlab
Automation of build, test and release processes for GenAI applications (LLMOps) to ensure frequent and reliable releases in development, test and production environments
Participation in the development of technical concepts for the implementation of new requirements for the GenAI platform, as well as its ongoing development and optimization. All components (databases, LLM models and other AI services, applications), expenses, ongoing operations with various client applications and in particular the company-wide and regulatory requirements must be taken into account and coordinated.
Implementation of mechanisms for monitoring and alerting (e.g. Grafana and Azure Dashboard) to ensure the stability and efficiency of the platform
Support of the client application for conceptual questions and integrations (onboarding) as well as problems in operation
Monitoring of system performance, operating time and protocols in order to identify and resolve problems early on
New and further development of code-based implementations for example authorization checks, logging/monitoring, routing logics, guardrails validations with Java, Python, XML, C# (APIM Policies)

Requirements:

In-depth knowledge of DevOps toolchains (e.g. Git, Gitlab, Docker, Terraform) to provide and operate the platform services state-of-the-art
In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services: Azure API Management, AKS, Azure Functions, OpenAI, AI Search, Document Intelligence, Azure Foundry, Storage Accounts
Knowledge of DevOps, including the use of monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor), logging systems and alerting to ensure high availability
Ideally project experience with GenAI technologies, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agentic AI, as well as experience in optimizing GenAI solutions
Ability to develop concepts and architectural solutions and represent them in IT security and domain architecture
Profound understanding of authentication and authorization procedures using Azure EntraID, RBAC and OAuth concepts
Knowledge of software development with Python and/or Java
