Description: For our customer in the telecommunications environment, we are looking for an experienced personality as **Senior ICT System Engineer Open Source (m/f/d)** for an exciting and demanding project in Bern

**Your tasks**

* Installation, integration and configuration of applications on Linux servers (RHEL) and OpenShift and on existing systems (e.g. LDAP, SSO, Mail, Backup, Reverse Proxy, Active Directory, Monitoring)
* Automation (e.g. with Ansible)
* Support of the operational departments in troubleshooting
* Creation of documentation, user manuals and instructions
* Training and introduction of new tools
* System development \& automation:
* Further development of the existing infrastructure (redundancies, automation, logging, monitoring)
* Further development of scripts and tooling (Python and Shell)
* Collaboration with DevSecOps, network and security teams


**Your profile**

* Technical degree (EFZ) with further training (FH/HF) in computer science desirable
* Sound knowledge of Linux system administration (Red Hat Enterprise Linux)
* Experience with container orchestration, ideally OpenShift and Kubernetes
* Proven experience in the implementation and operation of Open source applications on Linux and container platforms
* Good understanding of:
    + network technologies
    + web servers (Apache, Nginx)
    + databases (MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
    + IT security concepts
* Confident use of automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible)
* Experience with automating infrastructure and operational processes according to the principles:
    + GitOps
    + Infrastructure as Code
    + Everything as Code
    + CI/CD
* Willingness to carry out a personal security audit (PSP) Switzerland
