• Fullstack development: You develop sophisticated Java and web applications in the front and backend - both in modern Spring environments and in the Jakarta EE environment. You will actively contribute your experience to customer projects and develop suitable, sustainable solutions together with our customers.
• Bridge builder between the old and new Java world: You know both mature enterprise application landscapes and classic Jakarta EE architectures as well as modern Spring, cloud and microservice architectures. You understand the strengths and challenges of both worlds and can gradually convert existing applications and architectures into modern, future-proof solutions.
• Architecture & Modernization: You don't just think in terms of technologies, but in sustainable architecture. You analyze existing systems, identify potential for modernization and develop strategies for how established applications can be sensibly further developed - without unnecessarily throwing working solutions overboard.
• Quality & Engineering: Clean code, test driven development and DevOps are part of professional software engineering for you and are an integral part of your daily work.
• Technology & Innovation: You are interested in current technologies, architectures and trends and evaluate their sensible use. At the same time, you know that modern software development in the enterprise environment is often based on existing systems and not every solution starts from scratch.
• Problem solving: You analyze complex technical challenges, optimize existing solutions and find pragmatic ways to connect legacy systems with modern technologies.
• Collaboration: You work closely with colleagues and other teams and actively contribute your technical know-how to jointly develop the best possible solution for our customers.
• Consultant role: You are not only a developer, but also a technical consultant. You understand our customers' requirements, question existing approaches and support them in sustainably developing their applications and architectures.

What you bring with you

• You have several years of experience in full stack development and have a strong backend focus in Java, preferably supplemented by Kotlin or Python.
• You have in-depth knowledge of modern Java development with Spring, especially Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• At the same time, you have in-depth experience with Jakarta EE and classic enterprise application landscapes and know application servers such as JBoss or WebSphere.
• You understand the differences and connections between classic and modern Java architectures and ideally have already modernized applications or systems or assisted in the migration to new architectures.
• You have regularly taken on development roles in the front end and ideally have experience with React or Angular as well as JSF or PrimeFaces.
• You have experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization and cloud services.
• You can familiarize yourself with existing, complex system landscapes as well as design and implement new technical solutions.
• Your high level of self-organization, your team spirit and your strong problem-solving skills set you apart.
• Ideally, you already have experience in (partial) project management.
• You speak German at a native level and communicate confidently in English. ​
