SIEM Cybersecurity Systems Engineer

You will join the project team responsible for integrating a SIEM / Log Analytics solution for the Security Operations Center (SOC) and the SecOps team. In collaboration with the architect and the Project Manager, you support the onboarding of logs and make the necessary adaptations to the SIEM / Log Analytics tools.

The mission concerns the implementation and administration of the Elastic environment, in particular Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash and Kafka. You manage the Elasticsearch and Kibana applications, make the necessary changes after consultation, design dashboards and reports according to defined needs, and ensure the associated documentation.

Type of responsibilities

• Design, administer, configure and optimize the Elastic Security (SIEM) platform for the collection and correlation of security events.
• Build and maintain, with the team, security solutions based on Elastic.
• Integrate threat intelligence feeds into the SIEM to support proactive detection.
• Carry out upgrades to the SIEM platform and ensure reliability and scalability.
• Monitor security logs, alerts and reports to detect anomalies and potential issues, including in cloud environments.
• Use Elasticsearch for indexing, searching, and analyzing security-related data.

📝 Your profile

Skills

• Proven experience as a Security Engineer or System Engineer focused on cybersecurity, with a focus on SIEM and the Elastic stack, including Kibana, Logstash, Kafka and Elasticsearch.
• Proficient in Elasticsearch, including indexing, querying, and data visualization.
• Good practice in API scripting and languages such as Python or ES/QL for automation and development of specific tools.
• Solid experience integrating logs into cloud environments like AWS and Azure.
• Good knowledge of Linux, as well as Windows environments.
• Ability to analyze and resolve incidents in demanding contexts.
• Writing and oral skills to document solutions and communicate security topics clearly.
• Experience with cloud native environments, including Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as SOC2 and ISO 27001.
• Experience with EDR, SIEM tools, log management, intrusion detection, network security and email gateways.
• Rigorous, proactive and service-oriented approach.

System Engineer Cyber Security SIEM

I am looking for the project team to integrate with the SIEM/Log Analytics-operation of the Security Operations Center (SOC) into the SecOps-team. Samen puts the architect and the Project Manager on boarding logdata and you have to add it to the SIEM/Log Analytics tools. I have Elasticsearch- en Kibana-applicaties, you can use it on an overleg basis, you have dashboards reporting on an op-basis basis that you need to know about your documentation.
