The intelligence service - Knowledge of the world for the protection of Norway

The mission of the intelligence service is to collect information and notify about conditions abroad that could threaten Norway and Norwegian interests. We are now looking for a willing to learn, independent and committed Information Manager.

You will become part of a department consisting of highly skilled and motivated colleagues who contribute to Norway's security every day.

Tasks

You will contribute to solving the section's tasks by being responsible for data flow and information management across the section's various professional environments. As an IM, you will be responsible for supporting analytical processes, handling data access to the section and information flow towards other units.

The section has an extensive portfolio and extensive contact with other environments both within and outside the Intelligence Service. As an IM, you will contribute to a holistic and controlled development of processes and digital tools for data flow and information management.

Qualifications

The position has the following requirements that must be met in order to be considered as a current applicant:

• Relevant master's degree or education at a similar academic level. Other education and long relevant experience with good results will, according to assessment, be able to compensate for a lack of formal education beyond a bachelor's degree or education at the appropriate level. level
• Course or education in digitization, digital transformation, or artificial intelligence
• Good knowledge of using SharePoint, including setting up workspaces and pages
• Good knowledge of data and information flow, as well as automation and database tools
• Good knowledge of coding languages such as Python, Groovy or others, for scripting and automation
• Good knowledge of digital tools for coordination and communication processes
• Good basic understanding of intelligence, and the importance of the value chain from source to product

In addition, it is desirable if you have:

• Good knowledge of the Intelligence Service and the Armed Forces
• Experience with partner cooperation
• Very good language skills in English

Special requirements for a position in The intelligence service: 

Applicants must satisfy the requirements for the highest security clearance.

For employment in the Intelligence Service, you cannot have anything other than Norwegian citizenship at the time of employment.

The position is subject to a duty to be ordered, cf. the Defense Act and the Defense Personnel Regulations, which means that you can be ordered to international operations. This normally happens on the basis of willingness. Duty to order entails requirements for medical and physical fitness and basic knowledge of English. If you do not meet the requirements, you have the opportunity to apply for a waiver.

You will receive an annual salary within the range of NOK 785,000 - 980,000 in the position of Senior Engineer/Senior Advisor (code: 1181/1364) according to current Main Tariff Agreement. Final salary position and position code depends on qualifications.
