Tasks

The focus of your work is the data-based, content-related and organizational support of day-to-day business when commissioning alternative drives for buses in passenger transport and alternative drives in rail transport for the Federal Ministry of Transport (BMV). This includes, in particular, the implementation of the BMV's funding guidelines for buses with alternative drives. It is also important to take on smaller sub-projects, coordination tasks and reporting tasks. In detail, this means:

• Using Python and SQL, you delve deep into the world of data, evaluate it specifically and gain valuable insights from it.
• You monitor and analyze market and technology developments in the bus sector and keep an eye on current trends and innovations.
• To support market analysis, you use Plotly to create meaningful visualizations and graphics that make complex relationships easy to understand
• You develop standardized Python functions for our internal libraries.
• By organizing and systematizing relevant data bases, you ensure that knowledge is clearly structured and accessible at all times.
• You research program-relevant information and identify new data sources.
• You support the team in processing inquiries from politics, business and research as well as in the preparation and follow-up of appointments and events. 
• You will take on smaller sub-projects, coordination tasks and reporting tasks and support you in day-to-day business.

• You are studying computer science, business informatics, natural sciences, engineering or a comparable course of study.
• You have basic knowledge of Python (especially pandas, Plotly), SQL (Redshift) and Git and would like to expand this further.
• You are interested in the electrification of public transport - especially in relation to buses.
• You already have experience in the preparation and visualization of Information.
• You are interested in cloud-based IT architectures such as AWS and ideally have gained initial practical experience.
• You would like to get to know databases, data architectures and data processing processes in practice.
• You are confident in using MS Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• You are characterized by a structured, reliable and independent way of working.
• You have very good skills Knowledge of German.
