You will join the software division of the IT department.
The IT department is a team of 36 people, with varied profiles divided into two divisions. The Infrastructure Department is in charge of our data centers, our servers, the terminals necessary for the company's activity and the administration of our necessary cable and wireless networks. The Software Department is in charge of 95% of the company's applications (ERP, WMS, TMS, etc.)
La Provençale's IT philosophy is simple: sovereignty. We want to be in full control of the tools necessary for the company's daily activity in order to give maximum leverage to our operations colleagues. The open-source and “on-premise” approach are strong values of the team.
Main missions
1. Flow analysis
Based on field feedback and your observations, be able to map data flows between software components.
Detect and identify data flow issues linked to the company's current and projected activity.
2. Analysis of data structures
Check the consistency of data and their availability to meet the needs of applications.
Map general business concepts: objects and their relationships.
Be able to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of a data model.
3. Design of the software architecture
Draw up an operating plan between applications.
Propose the relevant technologies (languages and/or framework) with the objectives of performance, robustness, resilience as well as all the qualities necessary to meet the needs of the company's activity.
Involve yourself in the prototyping, programming and validation phases.
4. Advisory and control role
Support development teams to coordinate them in technical choices and implementation.
Protect the coherence, logic and overall homogeneity of the software building by establishing conventions.
Controller, referent and arbiter concerning the implementation of solutions.
5. Technology monitoring
Keep informed of new technologies and IT development trends.
Propose improvements and innovations for the overall architecture and aim for iterative and continuous improvement.
Required skills:
Strong notions of business management such as accounting or logistics.
Mastery and understanding of the role and operation of the components of a complete IT system.
Proficiency in compiled languages (C++, C#, Java, Go, Object Pascal) and scripting languages (Javascript, Python).
Required profile:
Diploma in computer science (BAC+5)
Prior experience in developing and deploying large-scale industry enterprise software (ERP, WMS, CMMS) for more than 10 years.
Passionate about the functioning of businesses and digitalization.
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues in the business infrastructure and management.
