Description: Do you want to build smart automations that make an immediate impact? We are looking for an Automation Engineer in Rotterdam for Jelle. You connect tools, build AI flows, clean up existing automations and ensure that recruitment, sales and back office processes work smarter and faster. No helpdesk role, but real engineering with short lines to management. Ready to make an impact? Respond today. What are you going to do? You listen to our recruiters and back office colleagues. You immediately see ten processes that cry out for automation. In your first months you will build things like: Automatically scheduling job interviews between candidate and recruiter Contracts via DocuSign as soon as a match is made Signaling and following up on no-shows via WhatsApp Business AI flows that enrich candidate data before the recruiter assesses it Collecting hours, enriching them, transferring them to the back office Plus - and this is significant - phasing out the current Power Automate stack to n8n and Python where this is structurally more sustainable. Not an endless roadmap. One process at a time, get it working, then move on. Who are you? At least 2 years of Python or experience in a similar language. Manufacturing experience with at least one workflow automation platform: n8n, Make, Zapier or Power Automate.Pragmatic. Strong communication skills, HBO working and thinking level. At least 3 days a week in the office in Rotterdam Advantage: Previous AI API integrations (Claude, OpenAI, or local Ollama) Experience with Salesforce Flows and/or Apex Recruitment, HR or staffing industry experience — Own open-source or community contribution \ Comfortable English speaking. This is what we offer you: €4,800 — €6,200 gross per month based on 40 hours, scaling based on experience. 32-hour variant possible — pro-rata salary + same bonus structure.
