Backend Developer Python
Utrecht
Every day, thousands of people order something they will never forget: the birth announcement of their first child, the invitation to their wedding, an engraved gift for someone who matters. Behind all these moments, one platform runs, and that platform is on the eve of a major technological leap. You will build a system in Python that runs live at full scale and at the same time help transform it into a modern, modular and API-first architecture, with room for AI applications. You do this in an informal, substantively strong team, in an office in a green area where a chef cooks for you every day.
Company profile
You will work at the market leader in the Netherlands in the field of personalized products: cards, printed matter and gifts for the big and small moments in life. The head office is located in the Utrecht region. In addition, the organization has its own production and fulfillment locations. In total, almost 200 colleagues work there, and the products go to customers in the Netherlands and abroad.
What makes this company special is that it controls the entire chain itself. The platform, the online editor in which customers create their designs, the ordering process, production and shipping: everything comes together here. More than 60 brands run on this platform, both own labels and white labels from partners who run their own webshop via the platform. Software is not a support department here. It is the heart of the company. The mission is clear: inspire people with personal products for the special moments in their lives.
The company has been around for over fifteen years and has grown from a single map site to a mature scale-up with a strong market position, its own production chain and a clear multi-year strategy. So you are not embarking on an uncertain adventure, but in a stable organization that still dares to innovate.
The culture revolves...
