This information helps enrich the democratic debate in complete transparency and helps our users make appropriate decisions. www.statistiques.public.lu The mission of the unit The MAC5 “Thematic Accounts” unit of the MAC “Macroeconomic Statistics” department has the mission of producing and compiling energy statistics, thematic accounts of the environment, culture, sport, tourism, the social and solidarity economy and space. In addition to compilation, the MAC5 unit is also responsible for the dissemination of these statistics and their transmission to European and international institutions. Missions The “Research and statistical production manager” will be in charge of the production, analysis and publication of energy statistics and environmental statistics: Organization of the collection work necessary for the production of energy statistics and environmental statistics; Updating and management of databases relating to energy and the environment; Compilation of monthly, quarterly and annual statistics; Compilation of monetary and energy accounts and environmental accounts; Verification and analysis of the statistics produced; Preparation of files for transmission of results to international organizations; Preparation of statistics publication files for the public statistics portal; Participation in editorial publications; Participation in projects to improve compilation processes and the development of new statistics; Participation in international working meetings; Methodological monitoring and process documentation. Profile Technical skills Good knowledge of statistical methods of data collection and processing; Understanding of statistical estimation methods; Mastery of at least one statistical programming language (e.g. R, Python, etc.); Good knowledge of data management practices; Proficiency in Excel; Oral and written proficiency in French and English. Assets Knowledge of the Luxembourg energy market; Knowledge of European statistical regulations in the energy field (/ and /); Knowledge of national accounts; Knowledge of the SAS and/or R programming language; Fluent in oral and written German and Luxembourgish.
