You will work as a Data Engineer within Team GreenWave, where you will work on a data platform and software services that make passenger flow at the airport predictable and efficient. In this role you build and manage backend solutions, APIs and data-intensive services that support operational decision making. You work closely with product owners, data scientists and engineers from other teams to translate business needs into reliable production solutions. You directly contribute to innovative digital products with an impact on airport performance and traveler experience.
What you will do
- You design, develop and maintain Python backend services and REST APIs for internal and external users.
- You build reliable integrations and data pipelines to support GreenWave products and operational processes.
- You implement, monitor and manage applications in production environments with Azure and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- You ensures platform reliability through monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution and continuous improvements.
- You work with data scientists to bring models and data products to production.
- You contribute to software engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and code quality.
- You will be present at the office at Schiphol on Tuesdays, together with the team.

- You have a completed higher professional education.
- You bring a strong engineering mindset and takes ownership in complex environments.
- You communicate excellently in both English and Dutch.
- You feel comfortable in a multidisciplinary team and can easily interact with different stakeholders.
Requirements
- You have strong experience with Python backend development and REST API development.
- You have experience with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
- You have strong PostgreSQL and SQL skills.
- You have experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Database for PostgreSQL.
