For my client I am looking for a Data Engineer who wants to help build an internal data platform that is still in full development.
The organization consists of approximately 290 employees. They are growing quickly and regularly take over smaller companies. Every new organization brings its own systems, data sources and processes. The challenge is to bring all that information together in one reliable platform.
The foundation is already in place. The data lake and data warehouse have been set up and the first sources have been connected. Much still needs to be linked, standardized and expanded.
You will be one of the first Data Engineers within a small team. This gives you a lot of influence on the way in which the platform is further developed. The position:
As a Data Engineer you develop data pipelines, connect new data sources and continue working on the data lake and data warehouse. You are not just looking at individual links, but at the entire platform. Think of data modeling, monitoring, data quality and reliable deployments. Due to the growth of the organization, you regularly have to deal with new applications. You investigate how these best fit within the existing landscape.
You will work with:
• Microsoft Fabric
• SQL
• Python and PySpark
• Git and CI/CD
• Data lakes and data warehouses Required profile:
• HBO or WO working and thinking level
• At least 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Good knowledge of SQL and Python or PySpark
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or a comparable data platform
• Knowledge of data pipelines, data modeling and data warehouses
