At TIMining we seek to transform the mining operation with integrated software solutions. The Technical Project Manager (TPM) leads the end-to-end implementation of our platforms in mining clients from planning to production and adoption. Reports to the Head of Projects and coordinates multidisciplinary teams (Project Engineers, Geology, Data Engineers, IT and Mining Services). The TPM manages up to 6 simultaneous projects, ensuring delivery, quality and measurable value for the client, with a focus on adoption and ROI of the solution.
Education
- Data science engineering.
- Computer engineer, or civil or related career.
- Surveyor.
Job requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in similar positions.
- Experience in implementing ETL pipelines.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team, with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and use of Python and advanced SQL.
- API consultations
- Advanced knowledge in databases.
- Advanced knowledge in Google Suite and office.
Languages
- Native Spanish. (Exclusive)
- English upper-intermediate. (Desirable)
Purpose of the role
Ensure the correct integration, transformation and availability of data from the client's different sources of information to TIMining products. Its objective is to guarantee the reliability and quality of the ETL pipelines, as well as to support the calibration of algorithms and the development of internal automations that optimize processes, providing value to both the client and the internal team.
Responsibilities
- Development, maintenance and documentation of scripts in Python and SQL (connectors) focused on the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) to the databases of TIMining products.
- Write, debug and maintain Python scripts for the ingestion, transformation and validation of spatial data (topography, 3D models, etc.).
- Attend and present in technical meetings with clients to request access to their data sources. information or the answer to doubts that they may have.
- Calibration of algorithms belonging to the company's software.
- Development of internal projects that allow the automation of routine tasks with the aim of simplifying the team's daily life.
- Validation of the results of the ETL pipelines, both qualitative and quantitative through comparison with operational reports of the tasks.
- Analysis and documentation of the client's information sources. by fleet management system (FMS), navigation system (MGS) or other sources of information.
- Identify, evaluate and mitigate risks when developing ETL pipelines, considering available data and quality. Implementing strategies to proactively manage problems and contingencies.
Desirable
- Experience in implementing technological projects.
- Knowledge of the open pit mining industry and its operational challenges.
- Knowledge of cloud architectures.
