Missions The mission of the Data Steward is to ensure the management, quality, traceability and valorization of the administration's statistical data assets. It ensures the availability of a reliable and up-to-date data catalog, promotes the application of data management standards and supports businesses in the use, understanding and reuse of statistical data. Data catalog management: Inventory and document the administration's statistical data assets; Maintain the mapping of data, their uses, flows and dependencies between systems; Guarantee a transversal data catalog that is accessible, documented, reliable and kept up to date; Participate in the continuous improvement of data governance and management. Documentation: Contribute to the consistency and common understanding of data through their documentation and cataloging; Ensure the application of data standards and nomenclatures in force; Collaborate with IT teams to promote interoperability between information systems; Ensure the quality and consistency of the information documented in the data catalog. Promotion and support of professions: Promote good practices of reproducibility and reuse of statistical processing. Facilitate access to data and their use by businesses; Support and train users in using the data catalog and data management standards; Collaborate with statistical, methodological, quality and IT teams to promote consistent use of data. Quality and continuous improvement: Implement data quality rules and controls within the catalog; Identify and correct inconsistencies, duplicates, obsolete or missing information; Define and monitor data quality indicators and dashboards; Propose and monitor the corrective actions necessary to improve data quality. Expertise and knowledge sharing: Ensure technological, methodological and regulatory monitoring in its area of ​​expertise; Contribute to projects to improve data management, quality and valorization; Share good practices and knowledge within the administration; Participate in data exchange and sharing initiatives with institutional partners. Profile Technical skills Mastery of quality control and data validation techniques; Knowledge of tools/languages: SQL, R, Excel, Python; Familiarity with statistical standards and consistency rules; Good knowledge of the profession of public statistics and statistical production processes; Fluency in French and good knowledge of English. Knowledge of Luxembourgish and/or German is an asset. Behavioral skills Rigor and organizational skills; Ability to work in a team and communicate with varied profiles; Analytical mind and responsiveness to anomalies; Sense of dialogue and collaboration; Ability to simplify complex concepts; Compliance with constraints and deadlines; Constant desire to learn and evolve; Ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously and prioritize. Assets Experience in official statistics or data management; Experience in setting up or using a data catalog; Knowledge of metadata repositories, statistical nomenclatures or data governance standards.
