In this context, the federal government has set very ambitious goals and aims to reach 15 million registered electric vehicles and 1 million installed public charging points by 2030.
As a full-service provider of charging infrastructure, Wirelane operates in a highly dynamic and rapidly growing market. We must meet the ever-increasing demand for—and requirements of—innovative charging solutions for electric vehicles.
For our rapidly growing team, we’re looking for you as an Embedded Software Engineer IoT & Connectivity (m/f/d) to join our “Build It” team at our headquarters in Munich.
In this role, you’ll ensure that our charging infrastructure remains reliably connected. You’ll work at the intersection of embedded software, IoT connectivity, and payment systems, and play a key role in ensuring the stability and further development of our technical platform.

• You will develop and maintain our embedded software for routers, connectivity solutions, and payment terminals.
• You will be responsible for firmware updates and rollouts for our installed device fleet.
• You ensure reliable communication between charging stations, routers, and payment systems.
• You analyze and resolve technical issues related to networks, cellular communications, and VPNs.
• You develop solutions for monitoring, remote maintenance, and automation of our devices.
• You will work closely with hardware, software, and operations teams to further develop our charging infrastructure.

• A degree in computer science, embedded systems, electrical engineering, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in embedded software development
• Very good knowledge of Python as well as C or C++
• Experience with embedded systems and low-level software development
• Knowledge of IoT, cloud technologies, and connected devices
• Experience with firmware management and device fleets is a plus
• Good knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, or HTTPS
• Experience with VPN technologies such as WireGuard, OpenVPN, or IPsec
• Knowledge of LTE and 5G communications is a plus
• Very good German skills as well as good written and spoken English
