You’ll collaborate directly with the client to enhance and scale a tracking and vision-based platform that integrates computer vision with modern Python web frameworks. We cultivate a diverse, inclusive culture centered on technical excellence and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python, Django, and Flask.Build and optimize RESTful APIs to support real-time tracking and analytics.Collaborate with frontend engineers to ensure seamless data integration and user experience.Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and best coding practices.Contribute to infrastructure setup and containerization (Docker, Nix, Kubernetes).Participate in daily stand-ups and proactively communicate with stakeholders.Requirements5+ years of professional experience in Python development.Proven expertise with both Django and Flask frameworks in production environments.Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for light frontend integration.Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).Familiarity with Git, agile development methodologies, and remote collaboration tools.Strong communication skills, accountability, and self-direction.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (required).Availability to overlap 4 hours with the GMT-5 timezoneNice to Have:Experience with Vision EngineeringFamiliarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or Nix environments.Exposure to Swift for iOS integrations.Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, microservices architecture, or serverless patterns.The projected hourly range for this position is from $47.00 to $57.00/ hour, determined by the candidate's interview outcome, skills, experience, education, and alignment with market data.BenefitsAt Stack Builders, you’ll work with exceptional engineers and clients who value clean architecture, integrity, and continuous growth, all while contributing to meaningful, high-quality products.
