happy and sociable 8-year-old boy who lights up the room and charms most people I meet. I am very interested in people. Music, play and nonsense are some of the best things I know, and I think pranks can be quite funny.

I am curious and pay close attention to what is happening around me. I pick up new words and phrases quickly, and I am constantly learning new things.

I have limited spoken language, and it can sometimes be difficult to understand what I say. That is why I use signs and symbols as support in communication. At the same time, I am clear about what I want and don't want, and my feelings are usually easy to read. I also have big feelings and need adults who can give me both space and good guidance when the feelings become strong. I am bilingual and understand both Norwegian and English, but speak mostly English.

Due to motor and developmental delays, I use a wheelchair and need support in everyday life. That's why I'm looking for an assistant who wants to get to know me and stay with me over time.

Position and working hours:

I am now looking for on-call temporary workers! The shifts are offered as needed, in case of illness, holiday and extra shifts, and can be:

• Night shift (awake): 23:30–08:00/09:00

• Weekend: 08:45–14:15, Saturday and Sunday

• Individual day shifts in weekdays: varying times, usually around 09:00-13:00

You do not have to be available for all shifts, but you must be able to work nights and weekends if needed.

Job duties:

• Medical follow-up:

  • Observation when using CPAP

  • Administration of meals via PEG button

  • Medication

• Practical assistance:

  • Assistance with personal care and undressing and dressing

  • Transfer and physical support

• Activities and play:

  • Participate in activities and plays with me. cleaning

Qualifications:

• As a user-controlled personal assistant you make a big difference, therefore personal aptitude and chemistry are very important.

• It is important that you can communicate well in English.

• You must be comfortable lifting and assisting with transfer.

• Experience from working with children or within the health and care sector is desirable.

• You should be in good health and have a life situation that makes it compatible to work awake night shifts.

Personal qualities:

• Reliable, detail-oriented and punctual

• Willing to learn and confident in asking questions when something is unclear

• Tidy, self-driven and independent

• Good with children and good at communicating

This is a job that is best suited for you who enjoy working independently, appreciate fixed routines and are accurate and conscientious. The role involves a lot of responsibility, and we are looking for someone who is not intimidated by it, but who finds security in clear frameworks and tasks.
