Description: The main objective of the Major Projects Office of the Ministry of Economy is to promote investment as an engine of development, job creation, and community well-being.
Through the single window for digital permit processing called SUPER, the Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism seeks to digitalize and centralize more than 400 permit procedures necessary for the different types of investment projects to materialize.Typically, these projects belong to the Energy, Infrastructure, Industrial, Real Estate and Mining sectors, among others.
We are looking for a professional of excellence with a vocation for public service.A proactive and creative person who is capable of proposing new solutions.This person is expected to contribute to improving the comprehensive functioning of the platform, understanding and addressing the needs of the different target users and, in addition, contribute to creating a good internal work dynamic.The selected person is expected to have project management skills and effective communication with counterparts.
• Experience in managing REST APIs.
• Experience in consulting databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge about the area of Software development products.
• Use of Python (Django).
• Experience using GIT and GIT Flow, and management of GIT repositories.

Functions of the positionThe selected person will work within the Modernization Unit of the Large Projects Office, in a team made up of computer and IT engineers, part of an interdisciplinary team that seeks to make the processing of permits agile and predictable.The selected engineer will be in charge of management tasks, process improvement, development, testing and maintenance of integrations between the SUPER platform and other permit processing platforms.
• Plan, execute and monitor the improvement of processes and integration of digital procedures of different public services with the SUPER platform.
• Manage and develop integration maintenance tasks, API maintenance and other operations of the SUPER platform.
• Recommend and support Back-End development tasks focused on a resilient system, carrying out continuous improvement, corrections, refactorings and modifications in the design of the databases.
ConditionsBetween $1,800,000 and $2,400,000 gross, depending on experience.
