Description: EURES through the Goya Public Employment Service of the Community of Madrid offers 5 positions for Photonic Engineers to work on the development of pilot projects in the field of photonic integrated circuits in collaboration with commercial partners. RESPONSIBILITIES: Photonics: Contribute to the PIC and BB portfolio roadmap. Design, modeling and simulation of photonic components. Client: Learn from the client's needs to propose solutions based on the company's portfolio and know-how. Project: Collaborate in the planning of R&D&i proposals and customer pilots. Team: Collaborate or lead technical team, depending on seniority and project. REQUIREMENTS: Academic or professional experience: Design and simulation of photonic structures, Design of photonic circuits applied to sensors or optical communications within the framework of an industrial or European project with an end user. An advantage will be: practical experience in mask designs for commercial foundries (lasers, photodetectors, optical amplifiers...), in testing and characterization (DC and RF optical and electrical) of PICs and blocks, as well as Intermediate Programming (python): Data structures, object-oriented programming, integrated development environments (IDEs), data visualization, Git version control. SKILLS: Professional command of English. Experience in project management tools. WORKING CONDITIONS: - Product-oriented work model. - Remote/hybrid (based in central Madrid) - Full time. - Indefinite. - Salary (30,000-40,000 E) depending on experience. - Professional development: Participation in international R&D projects, construction of scientific CVs. - Impact project that connects research and industry..
