Description: DOMINO RH AIX is seeking for its client, a major player in research and technological innovation, a Mechanical and Software Development Engineer M/F as part of a replacement for sick leave until the beginning of October.

Within a cutting-edge scientific and technical environment, you will work on the development and optimization of digital simulation tools dedicated to the behavior of materials and complex mechanical issues.

Your main missions will be as follows. :

- Maintain and optimize digital simulation tools in order to guarantee their performance and their evolution,
- Program and develop simulation codes in C++, Python or other suitable languages,
- Simulate complex mechanical systems using finite element type numerical methods,
- Model complex physical phenomena such as damage, viscoplasticity or even creep,
- Implement and develop digital methods advanced,
- Improve physical models and existing simulation methods,
- Validate and exploit physical models in the context of scientific and industrial problems,
- Participate in the continuous improvement of scientific calculation tools and methods.

Coming from a Bac+5 higher education in mechanics, numerical mechanics, scientific calculation or equivalent field, you have solid knowledge in the mechanics of materials and structures: elasticity, plasticity, creep, viscoplasticity, damage and rupture.

You have mastered finite element numerical simulation and have strong skills in computer programming, particularly in C++ and/or Python.

You ideally have a good command of at least one scientific calculation software such as Cast3M, Abaqus, Code_Aster, ANSYS or COMSOL.

Knowledge of the behavior of complex or innovative materials constitutes a real asset.

Curious, rigorous and endowed with a good spirit of analysis and anticipation, you enjoy working on complex scientific problems. Your team spirit, your writing skills and your ability to communicate technical subjects will allow you to fully integrate into projects.
