For a leading organization in the Almelo region we are looking for a Junior Data Engineer who wants to grow within a technically challenging environment where IT and operational technology (OT) come together. Data plays an increasingly important role in the further digitization of the organization. You therefore not only get the opportunity to work on existing data solutions, but also to help build a new data engineering discipline.
You work together with experienced professionals and do not have to be a specialist in specific industrial systems. More importantly, you have a strong technical foundation, are curious and enjoy learning new things.
Position
From the start, you will work approximately 90% of your time at the partner organization in the Almelo region, within an Agile/Scrum team. You work with Python and SQL, among other things, build and improve data pipelines and ETL processes and are involved in data warehousing and the further development of the data infrastructure. Data security also plays an important role.
The remaining 10% of your time is dedicated to your development. For 12 to 18 months you will attend master classes approximately once every two weeks at a central location in the Utrecht region. Together with other technical professionals and experienced experts, you will delve into technical and personal development.
Job requirements
- We are looking for a starter or young professional with a WO/Master's degree in, for example, Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or a similar technical field. A first experience with data, for example through an internship, study project or first job, is sufficient. - It is important that you: - Have experience with Python and/or SQL.
Have an affinity with Data Engineering, data and/or AI.
You are analytical, curious and eager to learn.
Have an interest in industrial/OT environments.
