You build AI applications that run in regular operation for the customer: dialog systems, semantic search, RAG pipelines, agents with tool connections. No prototype for the drawer.

Who we are

Rockstardevelopers, founded in Mannheim in 2015, offices in Stuttgart and Munich. From hundreds of projects for enterprise and medium-sized customers, we know how to build software that will last in an emergency. For a while now, our focus has been shifting towards AI: LLM applications, RAG, agent systems that go live with the customer.

What it's about

Our customers are Deutsche Bahn and IT service providers in the public sector, a regulated environment with high standards of data protection, the EU AI Act and operational security. There you integrate AI solutions into existing specialist applications. Project language is German. Everyday life is remote-first, customer appointments are mostly in Frankfurt am Main.

Our customers almost exclusively staff these projects with permanent employees. That's why we're looking for you in a permanent position.

Tasks

• Integrate language models into specialist applications: RAG with retrieval and reranking, tool calling, MCP server, multi-agent processes
• Set up evaluation: measure response quality, limit hallucinations, keep costs and token consumption under control
• Select models and keep them changeable (Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, open models), think about governance and data protection
• Operation: containers, CI/CD, monitoring, alerting
• Close coordination with the customer's department, architecture and operations

You have to bring this with you

Every point must be verifiable in the CV.

• At least three years of software development in Python or TypeScript, after training or studies
• At least one LLM application that ran productively for a customer or employer (RAG, tool calling, agents), with your share in it
• Docker, CI/CD and Git from everyday project life
• German at least C1, spoken and written

Ideally you should bring this with you

Not a must, but the more of them, the better:

• Kubernetes or OpenShift, Helm
• MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Model Serving) and classic ML in production
• Vector databases, embedding models, reanchors
• Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock or Vertex AI
• EU AI Act, ISO 27001, accessibility
• Experience with railways, authorities or social security
• Prometheus and Grafana, ArgoCD, SAFe
