Description: Production planner for ABB - join a large data center project

Do you want to work closely on production, logistics and project implementation in one of Norway's most exciting industrial projects?

On behalf of ABB, Batne is now looking for two production planners for a larger project related to the delivery of equipment for a new data center. This is a one-year hire assignment, where you will be employed in Batne and work at ABB. Planned start-up is during September.

The workplace will primarily be at ABB's location in Skien, while the position also involves some presence at other locations in the central eastern region.

This is a role for you who thrive at the intersection between production, logistics, capacity and projects. You will have a central function in converting forecasts, order intake and project needs into feasible production plans - and in ensuring that deliveries take place at the right time.

What do you want to work on?

As a production planner, you will be responsible for developing, following up and adjusting production plans in close collaboration with the project organisation, production, purchasing and other support functions.

Work tasks will include:

• translating forecasts, order entry and project needs for detailed and time-bound production plans
• plan and follow up capacity, production load, lead times and possible bottlenecks
• follow the progress of production and adjust plans in the event of changes in needs, capacity or material access
• maintain and follow up planning parameters and production data in SAP
• collaborate closely with project, purchasing and production to ensure realistic delivery dates and good material flow
• contribute with analyses, forecasts and capacity data to S&OP and Operations Planning processes
• identify deviations and risks in the plans, propose measures and raise issues that require clarification across the organization
• Convert project needs into requisitions in SAP

Who are we looking for?

We believe you have experience from production planning, logistics, supply chain or similar roles in an industrial or project-based business. You understand the connection between customer orders, material access, production capacity and delivery date - and like to use data as a basis for good decisions.

It is an advantage if you have experience in several of the following areas:

• production and capacity planning
• SAP, preferably linked to production planning or material management, possibly other MRP and ERP systems
• stock management and material flow
• logistics and order follow-up
• analysis and reporting
• project work
• S&OP or similar planning processes

You work in a structured and analytical manner, but at the same time are able to keep track of when plans change and several considerations must be balanced. The role requires close collaboration with many professional environments, and we are therefore looking for someone who communicates well, takes initiative and is comfortable following up on matters across the organization.
