Position Overview:Serve as the core implementation engine for either the hybrid retrieval pipeline or grounding and citation mechanismsInstrument the existing RAG pipeline and actively support the preparation of golden datasetsImplement hybrid retrieval features (BM25 + pgvector), adaptive context layers, and multi-turn prompt engineeringEnsure all AI components are delivered securely as Python source code directly into the client’s Azure DevOps environmentResponsibilities:Pipeline Implementation: Build and deploy hybrid retrieval mechanisms, deeply integrating pgvector and BM25 search strategies into the existing infrastructureGrounding & Integration: Implement robust grounding and citation modules, ensuring accurate claim-level attribution and regression testingTesting & Regression: Develop end-to-end integration tests and support CI/CD regression harnesses to maintain strict KPI baselinesCollaboration: Work closely with Senior Engineers and Architects, actively participating in daily pair programming, joint backlog refinement, and sprint ceremoniesOptimization: Write clean, modular Python code focused on maintaining strict, sub-4.5s low-latency execution (P95 targets) within an enterprise environmentRequirements:Background: Solid foundation in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related technical field, with proven practical ML engineering experienceTechnical Stack: Highly proficient in Python. Practical, hands-on experience with vector databases (specifically PostgreSQL and pgvector) and hybrid search strategiesAI/NLP Experience: Proven experience building and deploying Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and working closely with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI gpt-4o models)Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with the Azure ecosystem (Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning), Git version control, and CI/CD deployment pipelinesTesting & Quality: Experience writing robust unit and integration tests (e.g., pytest).
