Description: About the assignment

In this assignment, you get to work in the borderland between Python development, network technology and automation. You will primarily develop and maintain scripts that are used to prepare, implement and verify migrations in a network environment.

This is an opportunity for you who enjoy problem solving and want to understand both the code and the technical environment where the solutions are used.

Your areas of responsibility

Your main focus will be to maintain existing scripts and develop new solutions that simplify and ensure quality of the migration work.

Your tasks will include include:

    Development and maintenance of scripts in Python
    Work with scripts that retrieve and compare information from network nodes
    Development and use of check scripts, for example for PING
    Verification that network nodes have been installed correctly
    Work with VLAN-related scripts
    Work with Migghub, a larger check script for checking configuration and information
    Retrieving information from NSO, Network Services Orchestrator
    Work in production connected to migrations if needed

The role suits you who want to combine programming with networks and at the same time gain a practical understanding of how automation is used in a technical production environment.

Qualifications

    Knowledge in Python
    Knowledge in network technology
    Knowledge in IT security
    Relevant training in networking, IT security or equivalent competence
    A communicative ability and enjoy collaborating with others

We believe above all that you have a genuine technical interest and enjoy understanding how different parts of a technical environment are connected.
