I am looking for a Senior Data Engineer for my client who wants to combine technology with strategy, digitalization and AI. The organization (290 employees) is growing and regularly takes over smaller companies. As a result, new systems, data sources and processes are constantly being added.
The foundation of the data platform is in place. The next step is to further expand the platform and make clear choices around architecture, governance, security and AI.
You will be one of the first senior specialists within the new data team. You work a lot with the COO, application managers, the business and external partners. The position:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you contribute to the platform yourself, but you also think about the technical direction. You develop data pipelines, model data and work with Microsoft Fabric, SQL, Python and PySpark. With new acquisitions, you investigate how new applications and data sources fit within the existing landscape. You discuss technical choices with the COO and other stakeholders. That is why they are looking for someone who is not only technically strong, but can also clearly explain why certain choices are necessary.
In addition, you are concerned with:
• Data architecture
• Governance, metadata and lineage
• Security and access management
• Monitoring and data quality
• Integration of new systems
• AI applications within internal processes Requested profile:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
