YOUR MISSION

As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer (m/f/d) combines automation with security and brings Cloud applications run reliably. At virtual7 you will design the technical basis for the digitalization of the public sector - with personal responsibility, technical expertise and space for your ideas.

Your tasks

• Setting up, further developing and operating cloud and container environments based on Linux, Kubernetes and Docker/OCI

• Migration of existing applications into cloud environments as well as their automated deployment and integration

• Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and GitOps processes with Git, GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions as well as Helm and ArgoCD

• Automation of infrastructure deployment and configuration with Infrastructure as Code, for example Terraform, as well as Python or Bash

• Securing cloud, Kubernetes and Linux environments through hardening, role and rights concepts as well as the implementation of the least privilege principle

• Ensuring stable operations through monitoring, logging and continuous optimization as well as further development of technical quality through code reviews and professional exchange

THIS IS IMPORTANT TO US

• Completed IT degree as well as solid practical experience in setting up and operating cloud-native environments and a good understanding of microservices architectures

• Very good Linux knowledge and solid experience with Kubernetes, Docker/OCI as well as open source virtualization and container environments

• Confident use of CI/CD and GitOps, especially with Git, GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions as well as Helm and ArgoCD

• In-depth experience with Infrastructure as Code, for example Terraform, as well as confident use of Python, Bash or comparable languages for automation

• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), least privilege concepts and hardening of Linux, containers, Kubernetes and cloud environments

• Understanding of monitoring, logging and the operation of productive systems as well as familiarity with agile working methods, branching, clean code and peer reviews
