Description: The Customer Service Management product team develops and operates the AI-supported tool landscape for customer service at dm. This includes intelligent request processing with integrated automation, classification and text suggestions as well as a customer overview, which is designed by the responsible teams themselves thanks to the microfrontend architecture. Little by little, this creates a customer service experience that has already won several awards. You work in one of two closely interlinked focus teams with high quality standards, good cohesion and with AI as a natural tool in development.

Your tasks

• Participation in the cross-functional, agile development team with a focus on machine learning and backend systems
• Conception and implementation of ML pipelines, backend components and React frontend systems with end-to-end responsibility
• Active Participation in the design of the software architecture, especially in the integration of LLMs and ML models, as well as making technology decisions in the team
• Ensuring high code quality, performance, availability, scalability and reliability - including through code reviews, pair programming and automated tests
• Close collaboration with team members and neighboring teams, who, among other things, bring their own frontend and backend components into the shared ecosystem
• Responsibility for monitoring, observability and operation of ML models and microservices in the cloud

What you bring with you

• Several years of professional experience in full stack development with a focus on Java, React and Python
• In-depth knowledge of REST APIs and microservices with FastAPI or Spring Boot as well as asynchronous services
• Experience with LLM integration, NLP, ML models and MLOps including model serving & monitoring as well as confident handling PostgreSQL, BigQuery and Data Pipelines
• Experienced use of Google Cloud, Docker, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / OpenTofu) as well as CI/CD and Monitoring & Observability
• High software engineering skills (clean code, test-driven development, automated tests)
• Willingness for on-call services every 6 weeks
• Agile mindset, openness to pair programming and the ability to work in a team as well as fluency Knowledge of German and English (at least C1)
