For my client in Utrecht I am looking for a Senior Python Engineer who would like to be involved in the technical choices behind a software platform that is used intensively on a daily basis.
You will end up within an organization of approximately 250 employees where software forms the core of the services provided. The IT department consists of several development teams that work together on one proprietary platform. Within your team you will work with 6 members, including developers and QA Engineers, on the further development of this platform.
A lot is happening right now. In addition to further developing the existing software, a new architecture is being developed in which various components are being disconnected step by step. As a result, you not only get to deal with new functionalities, but you also think about APIs, integrations and the technical design of the platform.
The atmosphere is informal. There is a lot of collaboration, developers regularly spar with each other and good ideas are quickly picked up. You work at the office at least three days a week. The other days you can work from home. The position:
In this position you combine software development with technical depth.
You develop new functionalities, improve existing software and think about the architecture of the platform. You not only look at today's solution, but also at how the software will remain manageable and expandable in a few years.
